Kosa
The retirees fished Lake Wylie last week despite several landings being closed and I'm expecting more to close. Mack Wyatt and Steve got the win with 11.9. Dean Champion and Fred Wright picked up second with 9.3 and anchored that with big bass of the day, a 3.6 largemouth. Third with 6.6 was John Black and Roger McNeely. This week they are off to Lake Norman.
Moss
There are now bass tournaments on Moss Lake on Friday nights. Jeff Melton (704-600-8055) has been running them. Hours are from 6:30 til 11:00 with a $30 entry fee and that gets you on big fish as well as second big fish of the night. Last week Larry Denton and Larry Weathers took first with 6.13 and first big fish with a 3.15 largemouth. Buddy and Lindsey Black were second with 6.0, followed by Rick Franklin and Rick Cason with 5.6. Jason Henson fished solo and got fourth with 5.1 and fifth with 4.15 was Ronnie Beason and J R Garland. Second big fish was a 3.8 brought in by Chris Miller and Walt Brysiak.
