Bruce Camp's Local Fishing Report Jan. 24th Edition
With the holidays, family health and slow fishing, hopefully behind me, I can once again get back to reporting on one of my many passions. The local bass fishing scene. With that said, please enjoy.
Kosa
The retirees were on Lake Wylie a week or so ago, and David O’Shields with JR Henry got the win. The pair brought in 6.50 and anchored that with a 3.05 largemouth that took big bass honors. John Black and Roger McNeilly had 5.10 and were second with Ronnie Humphries getting third with 1.70.
Bass Caster Federation Club
The Bass Caster Federation Club was also on Lake Norman a few weeks ago. Chuck Camp got the win with 7.20 and he was the only one with a limit. Kenny Trent had 4.80 and took second with Derek Angel close behind with 4.72. Kevin Holiday had 4.26 and settled in fourth and rounding out the top five was Tyler Hoopaugh with 4.14. Big bass was a 1.88 largemouth brought in by Larry Fleeman. The next event for the Federated Club will be Lake Wateree on March 2, from 7-3.
Bass Casters
The Bass Casters Club fished Lake Norman this past weekend and Mark Swink picked up the win with a weight of 7.15. Tom Gavin had 6.11 and was second with Terry Knight getting third with 6.3. Chris Hoopaugh had 5.0 and was fourth and fifth went to Brandon Scarborough with 1.0. Big bass was a 2.13 brought in by Mark Swink. February 24th on Lake Murray will be the next Bass Caster event. If anyone has any suggestions on stories or pictures of their catch or kill, you can e-mail me at brucencracefancamp@gmail.com. TITLE THE E-MAIL STORY OR PICTURE “FOR SHOPPER” OR I WILL ASSUME IT’S JUNK MAIL AND NOT OPEN IT.
