Burns High School Event
The bass tournament on Lake Hickory to raise money for the Burns High School Marching Dawgs was a good event with some good catches. There was a tie for first place between the teams of Kenneth Kanipe/Andy Fox and Tony Miller/Dale King. Both brought in 14.8. Kanipe and Fox got the win with the largest bass between the two teams, 4.8 compared to 3.4 for Miller and King. Third place went to Doug Fowler and Tanner Ingle with 13.4, followed by Doug Pouch and Jim Craig with 12.6. David Fortenberry and Earl Proctor rounded out the top 5 with 11.8. Big bass of the event went to Johnny Whaley and Anthony Whitworth with a 5.2 largemouth. A fall fund rasing event is planned for Lake Norman.
Kosa
Lake Norman was the site of the old-timers last event. Doug Sparrow and David O'Shields grabbed the win with 10.3 and they had big bass of the day with a 3.6 largemouth. Fred Wright and Dean Champion took second with 9.3 and third went to J R Garland with 5.5.
Moss
Several events have been fished at Moss Lake on Thursdays since I last heard from Arnold. In no particular order those finishes were: *David Hendricks/Bryan Thrift 12.34 and big bass 3.84, Jody Black/Jason Rhodes 9.86, Jeremy Bouldin/Tyler Ward 9.62. Bryan Thrift/Matt Arey 13.48, Ronnie Hinson/Doc McDaniel 10.96, Reggie/Johnny Guffey 7.88 and big bass 4.74. J R Garland/Ronnie Beason 11.62 and big bass 4.02, Tyler Ward/Jeremy Bouldin 11.19, David Hendricks/Anthony Johnson 8.06.
