Bruce Camp's Local Fishing Report July 28TH edition
KOSA
The retirees fished Lake Norman last week. Tough conditions due to all the heat and lack of rain made it very rough on the fishermen. J R Garland picked up the win with 5.35, he was followed by George Crosswhite and Larry Melton with 3.45, they anchored that with a 2.45 largemouth, that was big bass of the day. Third went to Ray Hembree and James Osborne with 3.20. This week it is back on Lake Wylie.
MOSS
Fourteen boats fished last Thursday at the weekly bass tournament on Moss Lake. Brian and Cody Hoyle brought in 10.26 and got the win. Johnny Guffey and Allen Pickleshimer had 6.40 and took second. Chris Edwards and Donnie Beason had 2.82 and landed in third with Lee Hoyle and Tim Osteen getting fourth with 1.72. Rounding out the top five was Arnold Ledford and Steve Gordon with 1.10.
Bass Casters
The Bass Casters club fished Lake Hickory last Saturday night. Results were nothing to write home about. Terry Knight had 5.15 and picked up the win with Brandon Scarborough second bringing in 3.3. Mitch McCracken had 3.1 and was third followed by Bubba Sprouse with 2.13. Bruce Camp had 2.10 and rounded out the top five. Lake Rhodhiss will be next, again at night and from midnight til 9am, on August 14. Not sure it could be any worse.
