Bruce Camp's Local Fishing Report June 23rd edition
KOSA
The Kosa retirees fished Lake Wylie last week with some pretty good results. Lots of fish were caught according to reports. The win went to John Black and Roger McNeilly with 12.60, they also had big bass of the day with a 4.60 largemouth. Tony Black and Ned Blanton had 11.60 and took second, with James Osborne and Ray Hembree getting third with 10.15. This week it is back to Lake Hickory and there’s a lot of hope that it is better than the last trip.
Ticona
Lake Hickory ended the year for the Ticona bassin’ bunch. Mike and David Howington picked up the win with 8.6. Gary and Allen Gamble were second with 6.10, and they took big bass with a 3.9 largemouth. Ryan Hull fished solo and took third with 5.6 followed by Jim Weaver and Mike Cook who had 4.0.
MOSS
Sixteen boats showed up last week for the weekly Thursday night bass tournament on Moss Lake. Brian and Cody Hoyle picked up the win with 12.39, they also took big bass with a 5.19 largemouth. Second place went to Chet Beam and Les Dulin with 10.90. Scott Yarbro and Nathan White had 8.20 to take third, with Reggie and Johnny Guffey a close fourth with 8.13. Rounding out the top five was Arnold Ledford and Steve Gordon with 5.05.
