Bruce Camp's Local Fishing Report June 30th edition
KOSA
The Kosa retirees were on Lake Hickory last week and leading up to it, all hoped for better results than the first trip a few weeks back. It was a little better, but still not what most know that lake can be. John Black and Roger McNeilly had 6.80 and picked up the win with Fred Wright and Ken Johnson a close second with 6.15. Arnold Ledford and Coleman Hoyle took third with 3.60. Big bass was a 4.20 largemouth brought in by the team of Wright and Johnson. This week, Lake Norman will be the choice lake from 6am til 12 noon.
MOSS
Twenty boats fished Moss Lake last Thursday in the weekly bass tournament. Brian and Cody Hoyle got the win with 10.60. Richard McAbee fished solo and was second with 8.85, while Randy and Randall Wright was a close third with 8.30. Nathan White and Scott Yarbro brought in 6.20 and settled in fourth and rounding out the top five was Chris Edwards and Donnie Beason with 5.55. Big bass was a 3.30 largemouth brought in by Randy and Randall Wright.
CCBC
The Cleveland County Bass Club fished Lake Rhodhiss recently and Virgil Hamrick grabbed the win. Hamrick had 11.14 and easily out distanced the field. John Rankin had 7.64 and was second followed by James Osborne with 7.60. Roger Hamrick was fourth with 7.52 with Ronnie Humphries rounding out the top five with 6.84. Big bass was a 3.90 largemouth brought in by James Osborne. August will find the CCBC on High Rock Lake.
