Bruce Camp's Local Fishing Report March 14th Edition
Carolina Bass Challenge
The Carolina Bass Challenge was held at Lake Wylie last week and some awesome catches were brought in. Hunter Hicks and Mike Stephens had 22.53 to pick up the win. Second place with 20.16 was Brian Travis and Larry Lehew. Third place went to Paul Guthrie and Jason Eaker with 17.83. They also had big bass of the event with a 7.36 largemouth. Eric Grigg and Jody Jones had 17.23 and claimed fourth while Ronnie Mueller and Wayne Frierson settled in fifth with 17.07.
Moss
Arnold Ledford called and informed me that the weekly Thursday night bass tournaments will crank up next week (March 21). The events will blast off at 6pm and weigh in each week at 9:30pm. Entry fee is only $30 and this does include big fish pot. Word is the fish are biting out on Moss and this usually translates to a full field so get there early.
The word I am hearing from everybody is, fish are biting. Water temps are in the low 50’s and good catches, both numbers and size fish are being caught about everywhere. So get out and wet a hook this weekend, and  let me know how you do.
If anyone has any suggestions on stories or pictures of their catch or kill, you can e-mail me at brucencracefancamp@gmail.com. TITLE THE E-MAIL STORY OR PICTURE “FOR SHOPPER” OR I WILL ASSUME IT’S JUNK MAIL AND NOT OPEN IT.
