Bruce Camp's Local Fishing Report May 16th Edition
Kosa
The retirees fished Lake Norman last week and John Black says, “We sure didn’t have to worry about having enough water to fish”. As you might have imagined after last weekends frog strangler (that’s bruce-ese for hard, hard rain) the lake was full and floating debris was everywhere, but the fish still cooperated.  John Black and Roger McNeely got the win with 8.40 and they had big bass of the day with a 2.0 largemouth. David O’Shields fished solo and was second with 7.20 followed up by Dean Champion and Fred Wright with 6.10. This week, the old and wise guys will be on Lake Wylie.
Moss
Seventeen boats made it out Thursday night for the weekly bass tournament on Moss Lake. Mark and Cody Swink got the win with 8.67. Chris Carroll and Earl Rice were a close second with 8.02. Reggis Guffy and Tommy Chapman had 7.25 and took third while J. R. Garland fished solo and was fourth with 6.33. Rounding out the top five was Walt Brysick and Charles Bridges with 5.67.
CCBC
The Cleveland County Bass Club fished Lake Wylie last Saturday and Roger Beaver lead the charge with 14.50. He also had big bass with a 3.40 largemouth. Larry Melton had 8.0 and was second followed by John Rankin in third with 6.28. Ronnie Humphries had 5.70 and got fourth and Maverick Canipe settled in fifth with 4.82.
