Bruce Camp's Local Fishing Report May 17th edition
Kosa
The retirees fished Lake Norman last week with David O’Shields and JR Henry bringing in 8.20 and capturing the win. They also had big bass of the day with a 2.30 largemouth. John Black and Roger McNeilly had 7.70 and took second, with Ken Johnson and Fred Wright getting third with 6.60. This week, Lake Wylie starts at 7am with a 1 pm weigh-in.
Wylie
Thursday night on Lake Wylie, Nathan Williams and Jon Eisenhour brought in 14.69 and got the win, edging out Rob and Matt Johnson who had 14.46. Josh Featherstone and Bobby Spivey got third with 13.93, followed by Todd Garner and Newie Kaperseuth with 13.71. Rounding out the top five was Phillip Burke with 13.26. Big bass of the evening was a 4.57 largemouth brought in by Josh Warren and Mark Humphries.
Moss
Thursday night on Moss Lake, 32 boats came out, the most all year. Richard McAbee won with 11.18, followed by Ronnie Beason with 10.25. Bryan Thrift and Matt Arey took third with 10.12. Robin Sain and Nate Begley had 7.88 and landed in fourth, while Glenn Eaves and Jeff Melton brought in 7.58 to get fifth. Big bass was a 5.71 brought in by Ronnie Beason.
PPG
The PPG bass club fished Lake Norman last with Ronnie Black and Roger Marshall getting the win with a catch of 8.9. Evan Edwards and John Brown took second with 8.3 and third went to Richard Young and John Littlejohn with 6.7. Big bass was a 5.0 largemouth brought in by Black and Marshall.
