Bruce Camp's Local Fishing Report Nov. 3rd edition
Kosa
The retirees have fished twice since I last reported. The first one was on Lake Wylie. David O’Shields and John Black and they won with 9.20. They also had the big fish of the say with a 2.65 largemouth. Tom Mayhew and John Rankin dusted off the cobwebs and took second with 6.50. Third with 4.80 was James Haynes and Tommy Wess.
Last week, the retirees headed to Lake Norman and while he switched back to his usual partner, (Roger McNeily) John Black still got some help with his truck payment as they won with 7.20. Dean Champion and Fred Wright had 5.20 and was second. David O’Shields and Doug Sparrow had 4.95 and took third. Big bass was a 2.25 largemouth brought in by Champion and Wright. This week it is back to Lake Wylie, as Lake Hickory has been dropped from the schedule.
Bass Casters
The Bass Casters club fished Stumpy Pond this past weekend for their October event. Mitch McCracken picked up the win with 9.10. Terry Knight had 8.9 and was second with Randy Scarborough in third with 6.11. Brandon Scarborough had 4.13 and took fourth while fifth went to Ricky McKenny with 2.7. Big bass of the day was a 3.8 largemouth brought in by Brandon Scarborough. This week, the Bass Casters will fish their top ten fish-off, on a lake to be decided that morning and on November 13, they will fish their November event on Lake Wylie from 8-4.
