Bruce Camp's Local Fishing Report Sept. 29th edition
Kosa
The Kosa retirees fished Lake Norman last week and according to John Black, “yea it rained, but it could rain every week if I could catch fish like that”. John Black and Roger McNeilly got the win with 10.07. James Osborne and Ray Hembree were second with 7.11. They also had big bass of the day with a 3.5 largemouth. Third place with 6.3 was Tommy Wess and James Haynes. This week the retirees will be on Lake Wylie, without John Back who will be home taking care of wife, Linda. She had surgery and is still recovering. Get well soon Linda.
Moss
Fifteen boats made the trip to Moss Lake last Thursday for the weekly bass tournament. Brian and Cody Hoyle got the win with 4.5. There was a tie for second between Ronnie Humphries and Tommy Chapman, both fished solo and had 4.0. Arnold Ledford and Steve Gordon took fourth with 3.4.  Big bass of the night was a 1.21 largemouth and it was also a tie. Ronnie Humphries and the team of Ledford and Gordon both had a fish weighing the same.
CCBC
The Cleveland County Bass Club fished Lake Norman this past Saturday for their September event. Larry Melton picked up the win with 9.0. Roger Beaver had 7.60 followed by John Presnell with 7.42. Jimmy Melton settled in fourth with 7.14 and fifth went to Tom Mayhew with 6.90. All of the top fie had their limit of 5 bass. Larry Melton had big bass of the day with a 2.72 largemouth. The CCBC will fish two events in October, Lakes Wylie and Greenwood. Dates have not yet been decided.
