Buren Ray Hubbard, 79, of Salisbury, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Accordius Heath at Salisbury.

Born in Cleveland County, on March 15, 1944, he was a son of the late Coach Jack Hubbard and Daisy Marie Dayberry Hubbard. Buren was retired from Deviney Lumber Company and was a member of David's Chapel Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by eight brothers, Richard, Carl, Jesse, Ohmer, Dwight, J.R., and Durham Hubbard and Harold "Red" Dayberry and two sisters, Novella Walker and Sue Downs

He is survived by his brother, Billy Hubbard and wife Wanda of Belwood; two sisters, Sue Downs of Mountain View and Ruby Heavner of Hickory. two special nephews, Jimmy and Ricky Hubbard and one special niece, Misty Moore as well as other numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside Service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Rose Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Homer Tessneer officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
