Burns FFA In Desperate Need To Help The Hungry
Luke Beam, looks over project numbers with Colby Creswell, Chairman of the Burns FFA “Hunters Helping the Hungry”
Because of lack of processing fees, which is $70 per deer, the Burns “Hunters Helping the Hungry” program has had to stop accepting venison from hunters. The FFA class gives the meat to U-CAN Bliss Center in Lawndale to distribute to people in need, free of charge. The Burns FFA desperately needs funds to process future deer, having already turned down three. If you would like to give an extra special Christmas present, send a check, money order or drop by cash at Burns High School, marked HHH project. Please call Luke or Colby at 704-472-9344, and to let them know your donation is  on the way so that they don’t have to refuse any more deer. Your $70 donation could help feed your neighbors in need.
