C.L. Davis, 93, of Casar-Belwood Road, Lawndale passed away on January 19, 2025 at Carolina Care Health & Rehabilitation Center in Cherryville.

C.L. was born on May 22, 1931 in Cleveland County to the late Charlie and Edna Bowen Davis. He was retired from Mauney Hosiery and Kerns Trucking. C.L. was a member of Norman's Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Hammond Davis and a son, Charles Davis.

C.L. is survived by a son, Barry Davis and wife, Connie of Hickory; two daughters, LaDonna Houser and husband, Kenneth of Mooresboro and Janice Shafer and husband, Freddie of Kings Mountain; sister, Mary Hoyle of Shelby; eleven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Norman's Grove Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Norman's Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Chris Decker and Keith Huss officiating.



Burial will follow the service at Cleveland Memorial Park.
