Calvin Woodrow Jackson Hoyle, 83, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at White Oak Manor in Shelby.

Calvin was born on September 1, 1942, in Cleveland County, to Margaret Geneva Pruett and the late William C. Hoyle. He was retired from Hoechst - Celanese and a member of First Broad Baptist Church, Golden Valley. He served in the Army and was a Vietnam War and a lifelong member of the Red Baron Club.
Calvin is survived by wife Brenda Kaye Mauney Hoyle; and a half-sister, Patricia Howell of Kings Mountain
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Cleveland Memorial Park with the Dr. Wade Dellinger officiating.
