Mrs. Camellia Wilfong Norris was born in Hickory, NC on April 8, 1940 to the late James Leroy and Lucille Linda Wilfong. On March 15, 2026, she took her last breath at the age of 85 in Rutherfordton, NC.

Camellia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ted; six brothers, three sisters, and daughter Angie.

She is survived by three sisters, Bettye Procope, Bertha Angel (Melvin), Shirley Nixon (Thomas), a special niece she always said was like a sister, Mary Frances Covington, all of Hickory, NC; three granddaughters, Ellysia Danielle Burrus of Kingstown, NC, Calinda Leigh Burrus of Gastonia, NC, and Brianna Nicole Burrus of Graham, NC; two great granddaughters, Cammie Abigail Burrus and Joy Valor Anderson of Gastonia, NC; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, beloved friends, in-laws, and neighbors whom she cared about dearly.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Palmer Grove Baptist Church in Kingstown, NC. Burial took place at the church cemetery.
