Carl Brooks Armstrong, 75, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on July 21, 2020 at Testa Hospice House in Kings Mountain, NC.

He was born in Sumter, SC, to the late Brooks and Theda Horlacher Armstrong and was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Ashley Brown. Carl was a long time member of Patterson Grove Baptist Church where he served as deacon. He worked in the snack food sales industry for thirty-five years. Carl was a master gardener and loved working in his yard, tending to his flowers. He was an outgoing person who never met a stranger and was known for his vice like memory. Carl enjoyed visiting the mountains and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, "Gramps" and friend who will be missed greatly.

Daughter: Karen Brown and husband Roger, Mooresville, NC

Sister: Mary Sue Faircloth, Soperton, GA

Grandchildren: Joshua, Hannah and Karah Brown
