Mr. Carl Junior White, 74, of 2503 S. Post Rd., Shelby, NC passed away Friday, April 15, 2011. Services were held at Charity Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents, Carl James and Addie Oakes White; and 4 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his former spouse and companion, Jane Griffin White of Shelby; 3 sons, Buster Griffin and wife Ann, and Chris White, all of Shelby, and Donald White and wife Sherry of Earl; 2 daughters, Shirley Davis and husband Johnny, and Samantha White and fiancé Jeremy Greene, all of Shelby, NC; 1 sister, Nellie Bowen and husband Tommy of Shelby; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 special niece.
Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, Shelby, NC is serving the family.
