Carla Jo Harrelson Piercy, 67 of Baylor Drive, Shelby, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at her residence.

Born in Onslow County, NC on May 14, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Hal Harrelson and Louise Strickland Harrelson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Lee Piercy; a brother, Kenny Harrelson and a sister, Vickie Moore.

Survivors include her children, Melissa Scism and husband, Pad of Grover; Cliff Piercy and wife, Sarah of Boiling Springs and Jamie Piercy and fiance, Kevin Johnson of Fallston; three grandchildren, Gavin Johnson, David Piercy and Katherine Piercy and a sister, Carol Hannah of Gastonia. In addition, she is survived by her niece, Kim Moore and son, Donovan Gheen of Fallston.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 11:00 am at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Trexler officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
