Carlos Trejo Garcia, age 56, of Lincolnton, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
He was born June 3, 1969, in Apezco Zimapan, Hidalgo, Mexico, to Leonila Garcia Trejo and the late Aurelio Trejo Martinez.
Carlos was a foodie; he loved eating, taking his children out to eat, and enjoying his wife's cooking. He was constantly cracking jokes, making people laugh, and acting goofy and funny. He was a member of St. Dorothy's Catholic Church. Carlos enjoyed talking about politics, both Mexican and American. He liked people watching and being outdoors, especially in his yard or working in his garden. Carlos could often be found watching Tiktoks.
In addition to his father, Carlos was preceded in death by his siblings, Felipe Trejo Garcia, Jose Isabel Trejo Garcia, Jesus Trejo Garcia, and Marcos Trejo Garcia.
In addition to his mother, Carlos is survived by his wife of 30 years, Angelica Ortiz Ramos Trejo; children, Ariana, Aylin, and Magdiel; siblings, Juan Trejo Garcia, Apolonio Trejo Garcia, Leonardo Trejo Garcia, Adrian Trejo Garcia, Maria Elena Trejo Garcia, Martha Trejo Garcia, Maria Socoro Trejo Garcia, and Benita Trejo Garcia; and beloved dogs, Bentley and Sophie.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 31, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services, in Cherryville. Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Sunday evening, at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be held Monday, September 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at St. Dorothy's Catholic Church, with Father Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Maiden Municipal Cemetery.
