Carolyn Eaker Brittain, 77, of Delview Drive, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Atrium Health in Charlotte.

Carolyn was born in Cleveland County, NC on August 1, 1943 a daughter of the late Earl Pinkney Eaker, Sr. and Annie Mae Thomas Eaker. She retired as a seamstress from Clar-Mar in Cherryville. Carolyn was a member of Plainsview Baptist Church in Lawndale where she served as a Sunday school teacher and Outreach teacher.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a stepson Samuel Mark Brittain; grandson Josh Brittain and a sister Juanita Porter.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Allen Brittain of the home; a son Jeffrey Homesley and wife Kimberly of Bessemer City; a stepson Reggie Brittian of Cherryville; a special great grandson, Hunter Wright; a brother Pinkney Eaker of Waco; three sisters Virginia Williams of Lawndale; Kay Rochester of Waco and Gail Sparks of Gastonia; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Plainsview Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Key and Rev. Jerry Lail officiating.

The family will greet friends following the service.

Burial will be Private.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing and face coverings will be required.
