Carolyn Wright Arrowood, 82, of Lawndale, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at White Oak Manor in Shelby.

Carolyn was born on July 15, 1943, in Cleveland County and was the daughter of the late J.S. and Eula Louise Williams Wright. She had worked for Dover Mill as a secretary. Carolyn was active in church and valued her church family's fellowship. She also spent many hours helping friends and neighbors by running errands and tending to their needs.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Hoyt Arrowood and sister-in-law, Shirley Wright.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Barry Arrowood of Lawndale, brother Buddy Wright of Lawndale, and granddaughter, Brinley Kate Arrowood of Shelby.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 3:15 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 3:30 PM in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
