Carrie Diane Sisk Cooper, 78, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024, in Hickory, NC.

Born on March 10, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Mary Helen Spake McCraw. In addition to her mother, Diane is preceded in death by her husband, Isaiah (Harrill) Cooper; her son, Robert Sisk; her granddaughter, Stephanie Messer; and her siblings; Jimmy Sisk, Randy Sisk, Mike Spake, Stanley Spake, Pattie Jo Wylie, Cindy McAbee, and Peggy Griffin.

Diane was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Cad and Sallie Spake, who raised her, as well as her uncle, Emanuel Spake.

Diane is survived by her two daughters, Evelyn Stephens (Terry) and Barbara Strickland (Greg); seven grandchildren: Stephen Sisk, Kimberly Sisk, Brittany Stephens, Alexis Stephens, Sara Hudson (Brad), Kayla Strickland, and Ryan Strickland (Emma); and twelve great-grandchildren: Stephen Sisk, Jr., Shyann Sisk, Clarence Messer III, Lillymay Messer, Justin Sisk, SallyAnn Sisk, Kayden Waters, Vanessa Sisk, Cooper Hudson, Olivia Hudson, Nora Strickland, and Natalie Strickland.

She is also survived by her siblings: Don Sisk (Sherry), Linda Mayfield (Roger), Dixie Drewery, and Frances Randall, along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Cleveland Memorial Park beginning at 11:30 AM.
