SHELBY - Carroll Schoolcraft, 95, passed away on Thursday, January 06, 2022 at Atrium Healthcare Cleveland. He was born in Knoxville, TN Knox County to the late Annie Schoolcraft on January 28, 1926. He is also predeceased by his wife, Louise Schoolcraft; daughter, Patty Searcy.

Carroll leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughter, Carmen Arnold; sons, Bryan Schoolcraft and Kenny Helms, Jr., (Tammy) of Kings Mountain; grandchildren, Sherry Shoemake, Brandon Helms (Jamie), Jeremy Schoolcraft, Erika Hutto (Matthew), Ciara Smith (Brock), Kelly McGregor (Alan) and Emily Arnold; great-grandchildren, Dakota Shoemake (Becka), Luke Helms, Andrew, Braylan and Chloe Smith, Ethan Vanek, Kaisley Hutto and Gunner Schoolcraft.

He worked and retired from Timken after serving in the United States Navy. He was an amazing man and role model for so many. He never met a stranger. He never failed to make people laugh and was a joy to all who met him. He will be missed terribly by so many. He knew Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Grace Community Baptist Church, 300 East Double Shoals Road, Shelby, NC 28152. Internment immediately following the service at Patterson Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, 2107 Cleveland Avenue, Grover, NC 28073.
