Cathy Lynn Amos Roark, 61 of Casar, passed away Friday, December 22, 2017 at her residence.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael Kelly and wife Nicole of Chesnee, SC, and Daniel Elliott of Forest City, NC, three grandchildren, Victoria Kelly, Mason Blackwell, and Colton Kelly, two brothers, Paul Amos of Rutherfordton, NC, and Thomas Amos and wife of Inman, SC, two sisters, Bonnie Henderson and husband Bo of Rutherfordton, NC, and Shirley Holland of Casar, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born July 18, 1956 in Rutherfordton, NC, Cathy was the daughter of the late Carl and Annie Lou Hooper Amos. Cathy worked part time at a nursing home where she found comfort in helping others. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Cathy would always make you smile and will be truly missed by those that knew her.
Memorial services and fellowship will be held 10:00 am Friday, December 29, 2017 at Davis Chapel Wesleyan Church, 1965 Dewberry Road, Spartanburg, SC conducted by Rev. Ken Hales. Burial will follow at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, 1541 Harris Holly Springs Rd, Rutherfordton, NC.
