| CCC Basic Law Enforcement Students Honored |

Eleven students from the Cleveland Community College Basic Law Enforcement program were honored for their achievements during a special graduation ceremony held in the Mildred H. Keeter Auditorium on the CCC campus on May 21, 2013.
CCC Coordinator Basic Law Enforcement, Aaron Vassey, gave an overview of the BLET program and BLET students Latoya Renee Ross and Cameron Lee Stroup served as speakers for the ceremony. Five students were also recognized for their outstanding achievements in the program and include: Kyle Bell, Highest Firearms Average, Most Physically Fit, Fastest Police Officer Physical Ability Test, and Fastest Driver Training Assessment. Alex Howell received Highest Cumulative Average and Highest State Exam Score Awards. Collin Washington, II was awarded Outstanding Leadership and Krystal Weaver was awarded Highest Driver Training Average. The Most Improved Physically Fitness Award went to Tanner Yarboro.
Each of the graduates is now eligible to be sworn as a law enforcement officer through the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission and/or the North Carolina Sheriff’s Education and Training Commission once they are hired by a law enforcement agency.
