| CCC Firefighter Academy Graduation |

Cleveland Community College held its 2011 Summer Firefighter Academy graduation ceremony on Friday, August 12, in the Student Activities Center on the CCC campus. Seventeen men and women were honored during the ceremony. CCC President, Dr. L. Steve Thornburg, welcomed everyone and the invocation was given by Billy Boone, Chaplain of the Cleveland County Firefighter Association. Class president, Corey Firby, addressed family and friends and Chief, Roland Hamrick, Boiling Springs Fire and Rescue, gave the keynote address. Academy staff presented graduates with their certificates and pins and Academy Coordinator, Richard Carroll, made the final presentation of the class. The next Firefighter Academy will be held in January 2012, at the Brown Emergency Training Center. For more information call 704-484-6657.
