CCC Firefighter Academy Graduation Held
Cleveland Community College held its 2011 Winter Firefighter Academy graduation ceremony on Friday, March 11, in the Student Activities Center on the CCC campus. Seventeen men and women were honored during the ceremony.
CCC Vice President of Student Development and Instruction, Shannon Kennedy, welcomed everyone and the invocation was given by Billy Boone, Chaplain of the Cleveland County Firefighter Association. Class president, Jerod Nance, addressed family and friends and Chief Scott Burnette from the Asheville Fire and Rescue Department gave the keynote address. Academy staff presented graduates with their certificates and pins and Academy Coordinator, Richard Carroll made the final presentation of the class.
The next Firefighter Academy will be held this summer at the Brown Emergency Training Center. For more information call 704-484-6657.
