On October 23, 2018, a party was thrown celebrating the arrival of Charles Alfred "Chuck" Marlow Jr., into the kingdom of heaven. Though his family is deeply saddened at his passing, we are also a little jealous that we weren't able to attend the party along with other family members who have gone before us including Chuck's mother, Diane Marlow and his stepdaughter whom he loved as his own, Crystal Summer Leigh.

Left here on earth are a large number of family and friends that include Chuck's father and stepmother Charles Sr. and Virginia Epley Marlow of Shelby, sister Roxanne Calvert (John), step-brother David Epley (Mary) of Bessemer City, step-sister Laura Jolly of Chesnee, stepdaughter Natalie Leigh Gillaspie, whom he loved as his own, and grandchildren Summer, Noah, and Lane of Keyser, WV, special niece and nephew Halie McGregor (Baxter) of Kings Mountain and Dustin Calvert (Megan) of Mt. Vernon, MO and, Chuck's favorite aunt, Linda Haskin (Emmett) of Shelby, and a number of other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A graveside service will be held at Sunset Cemetery in Shelby on November 1, 2018 at 4pm officiated by Pastor Tim Sims of Bethel Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider doing something nice for someone or donating to a charity of your choice in Chuck's honor. Chuck could be ornery at times but would give the shirt off his back to anyone, which is likely why he never wore a shirt unless forced. He always made those around him laugh and smile. Please continue the smiles and laughter by honoring Chuck's memory. We will miss you, Chuck. Until we all meet again.
