Charles "Chuck" Allen Lowder, 88 of Shelby, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Hospice at Wendover.

Born in Gaston County, NC on November 12, 1933, he was the son of the late Thomas Lowder and Thelma Adams Dellinger. Mr. Lowder was retired from the Bay Area Rapid Transit and served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Charles Lowder.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Janice Waters Lowder; daughter, Cindy Eldridge of Basking Ridge, New Jersey and one grandson, Kevin Eldridge of Laurel, Maryland.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 3:30 pm at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston with the Rev. Eddie Padgett officiating.
