Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 9:30 pm, Charles Dean Kistler passed away in Durham, NC.

A lifelong Mathematician and Educator of over 40 years, he was born on March 29, 1946. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Brady Kistler, his mother, Mary Ledford Kistler, his wife of 29 years, Sandra Dover Kistler and his brother, Joseph Alvin Kistler.

Dean is survived by his son Charles William Kistler, his daughter, Karla Kistler-Patel, son-in-law, Darshan Jashbhai Patel, and his three grandchildren, Devin, Kayla, and Kaiden Patel.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday February 9, 2022 at the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Burial will take place at Kistler United Methodist Church Cemetery.
