Charles Edgar Nalley

Charles Edgar Nalley went to spend eternity in glory with his Savior and his Heavenly Father on September 12, 2024.

At the age of 91 years old, he left this world surrounded by family in his home in Shelby, NC.
Charles was born in Easley, SC on February 13, 1933 to Ola Mae Smith Nalley and Luther David Nalley. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his four brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 71 years, Bobbie Lesley Nalley, two daughters, Angela Heath (Scott) of Shelby, NC and Andrea Wilcher (Rob) of Asheville, NC, three granddaughters, Hadley Heath Manning (Aaron) of Denver, CO, Amanda Lake Heath of Houston, TX, and Verity Wilcher of Asheville, NC, and four great-grand children, Madeline, Jack, Savannah and William Manning of Denver, CO, and many nieces and nephews. He was very proud of his family and loved them well.


Charles was a graduate of Easley high school and after served as an Army Security agent during the Korean War. He attended Clemson University where he received a BS in Chemistry in 1959. He was employed by PPG Industry as a manager of research and product development.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Shelby NC where he served as a deacon and choir member for many years.
