Charles "Mark" Hamrick, 68, passed away Saturday March 5, 2022.

He was born in Cleveland County on November 16, 1953.
Mark was preceded in death by his father Thomas Beatty Hamrick Sr, brother James Edward "Ed" Hamrick and stepfather John Gene Turner.

Mark was a graduate of Shelby High School in 1972 where he lettered in baseball, and he continued his collegiate baseball career at Gardner-Webb College where he graduated in 1977. He was an avid golfer and a big UNC Tarheels fan.

Mark is survived by his mother Delores "Dee" Freeman Hamrick Turner of Shelby, his wife of 28 years Gale Clemmer Hamrick of Shelby, his daughter Cari Hamrick Wilson of Shelby, brothers Thomas Beatty Hamrick Jr. and wife Liz and Stephen Lee Hamrick of Shelby, sister Susan Hamrick Floyd and husband Mark of Polkville, brother-in-law Gus Clemmer and wife Wanda of Dallas, along with many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 2:00-3:00pm at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home in Shelby.
