Charles Ray "Boo Boo" "Snake Man" Womack

Charles Ray "Boo Boo" "Snake Man" Womack, 83, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, at his home. A native of Polk County, he was the son of the late Collett R. and Olla Anna Byers Womack. He was a member of Second Baptist Church, and retired from Cleveland Lumber after 35 years of service. Ray loved his family and friends.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Margie Sanders; and brothers, Glenn and Marion Womack;

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Sherlene Schultz Womack, of the home; daughters, Shawn Collins and husband Rev. Jerry Collins of Little Rock, Ark,, and Shaye Spain and husband Frank of Shelby; brothers, Jr. Womack of Rutherfordton, Wayne Womack and wife Judy of Dallas, TX, and Johnny Womack and wife Sandra of Forest City; grandchildren, Edward Spain of Myrtle Beach, Gwynne Leach and husband John of Little Rock, Amber Wheeler and husband Aaron of Shelby, and Stewart Spain of Camp Pendleton, CA; great-grandchildren, Haley, Caleb, Cameron, and Casey Spain, Ashlynn and Kain Leach, and Addison Wheeler; nephews, Douglas Bishop and wife Jerrie of Spartanburg, SC, and Jimmy Bishop of Roebuck, SC

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held Friday, 2pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Friday, 12:30-2pm, at the funeral home

BURIAL: Will follow in Sharon United Methodist Church Cemetery

CLERGY: Rev. Jerry Collins will officiate
