Charles Ray Daniel, age 83, a resident of Rutherford County, North Carolina, passed away on October 12th, 2023.

Ray was born to the late Charles Robert Daniel and Mildred Davis Daniel. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Sybil Walker Daniel, and daughter Renee.

Ray leaves behind cherished memories with his surviving daughter, Debby Hord, and her husband, Larry. He is also survived by his grandson, Tyler Hord and wife Makayla, and granddaughter, Jordan Hord, as well as his two great-grandchildren, Kian Hord and Casper Hord.

Ray was the proud owner and operator of Ray's Auto Body Shop in Forest City. He lived life to the fullest, remaining active until the last few weeks of his journey. In his spare moments, he found joy in fixing cars in his shop and relished Sunday meals with his family. A pro bass fisherman and the ultimate sports fan of his grandchildren. Ray loved watching country westerns, and had the majority of them memorized.

Above all, Ray's caring nature shone through as he always made time to inquire about the well-being of others and their families.

A graveside service to honor his memory will be held at Eternal Hills Memorial Park on Monday, October 16th, 2023, at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Skip Allen officiating.
