Charles Timothy "Tim" Robbins, 77, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, North Carolina.

Born in Lexington, North Carolina on July 9, 1949, Tim was the son of the late Carl Ray Robbins and Mabel Louise McCrary Robbins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Carl "Butch" Robbins and Cinda Lou Robbins.

Tim married his beloved wife Gina Robbins on May 14, 1972 and they greatly enjoyed life together for over 54 years. Prior to having children of their own, Tim and Gina were "house parents" for the Junior Order Children's Home Lexington and cared for 18 young girls. Joyfully, they began to welcome their own children to the world and devoted themselves to raising their 7 children.

Tim was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and was called to pastor as his life's work. For over 40 years he pastored churches in NC, VA, and MD. During his earlier years in ministry, Tim completed his Masters of Divinity degree at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

He was a dedicated family man who enjoyed vacations with his wife and children, Uno, Monopoly, and adventures of all types. Tim loved the outdoors and devoted much time and energy to caring for his yard and hiking in beautiful places.

Tim is survived by his wife Gina Robbins and his children, Michaella Johnson and husband Andy, Anna Danals and husband Andrew, Stephen Robbins and wife Rachel, James Robbins, Karah Lupo-Mack and husband Troy, Nathan Robbins and wife Sarah Grace, and Jeremy Robbins and wife Elizabeth. Tim is also leaving a legacy through his 27 living grandchildren!

Funeral services for Mr. Robbins will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 9:00 a.m. at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Boulevard, Salisbury, North Carolina 28144.

A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby with Dr. Stephen Robbins and Pastor Jeremy Robbins officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service.
