Charlotte Burns Maloney, 68, died Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Testa Hospice House in Kings Mountain.

A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Thurman and Jewel Burton Burns.

Charlotte attended Landmark Baptist Church and worked at Rug & Home, as a Design Associate, for several years. She along with her husband, Boyd managed and operated Patriot Speedway and Carolina 120 Speedway.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Tracy Burns.

She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Boyd Maloney Jr. of the home; daughters, Wendy Summey and husband John of Belton, SC and Mendy Haskins and husband Josh of Williamston, SC; sister, Kim Navey and husband Tony of Cleveland, NC; grandchildren, Aprylle Judd and husband Aaron, Juliana Summey, Morgan Summey, Mason Drake, Carter Drake, and Madelyn Haskins; and great-granddaughter, Maci Judd.

A memorial service will be held 7:00 PM, Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Landmark Baptist Church, with the Rev. Allen Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 PM, prior to the service, in the church. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Dr., Shelby, NC 28150
