Cheryl Bridges Smith, age 55, of Ellenboro, passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 at Oak Grove Health Care Center in Rutherfordton.

Cheryl was born September 8, 1964 in Thomasville, NC to Mary Elizabeth Boone Bridges who resides in Rutherfordton and the late Gene Bridges. She worked at Timken Industries in Gaffney for several years and graduated from Cosmetology School at Cleveland Community College. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her family. Cheryl especially loved spending time with her granddaughter.

In addition to her mother, those left to cherish her memory include her son, Shane Teseniar (Karen) of Ellenboro; daughter, Tommy Elaine Smith of Ellenboro; granddaughter, Lacey Elizabeth Smith; brother, Brian Bridges (Angela) of Union Mills and nephew, Austin Bridges. She is also survived by a family of caretakers and special friends at Oak Grove Health Care Center who loved her dearly.

A gathering of family and friends to honor Cheryl's memory will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Harrelson Funeral Home.
