Chivous "Paul" Luckadoo

Chivous "Paul" Luckadoo, age 90, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, October 23, 2022, at the Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.

Paul was born Saturday, May 7, 1932, in Rutherford County to the late C.A. Luckadoo and Owana Jolley Luckadoo. He was a graduate of Mooresboro High School, class of 1950. He worked for Fiber Industries/Celanese for twenty-six years before retirement. Paul was a longtime and faithful member of Race Path Baptist Church where he served in many capacities including teaching Sunday School for thirty-eight years and serving as Chairman of the Board of Deacons. He enjoyed working outdoors, mowing his lawn and especially spending time with his family and friends. Paul was a dedicated husband, father, brother, grandfather, friend and above all else a committed Christian.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-five years, Joyce Condrey Luckadoo and two sons, Alan Luckadoo and Gary Luckadoo.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Danny Luckadoo (Becky) of Shelby; sisters, Mary Jolley of Greenville, NC and Martha Crise of Salisbury, NC; brother, Tommy Luckadoo (Linda) of Morganton, NC and sister-in-law, Diane Cloninger and brother-in-law, Roger Condrey (Carol) of Shelby. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Timmy Luckadoo, Tony Luckadoo, Charlie Luckadoo, Mandy Luckadoo, Ashley Thomas, Alex Scarborough, Courtney Luckadoo, Jordan Thomas and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 1st, at Race Path Baptist Church with Reverend Randall Cooper officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to Race Path Baptist Church, 1171 Race Path Church Road, Ellenboro, NC 28040.
