Christine Wright Greenway, 84, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022, at White Oak Manor, in Shelby. Christine was born in Cleveland County, to the late Dorse Newell Wright and Mattie Lee Martin Wright. She is also preceded in death by her husband, William "Billy" Van Greenway, they shared 42 loving years together. Christine served the Shelby community for many years, later retired from Doran Textiles (Ora Mill). She was a life long member of Dover Baptist Church.

Christine is survived by two daughters, Sherry Denise Swafford and Penny Renee Grigg. She is also survived by her brother, Harold Keith Wright (Dorothy) and sister-in-law, Judith Greenway Carter. Christine is survived by two loving grandchildren, Kelli Denise Salinas (Jessie) and David Albert Swafford Jr. (Millie). Christine is survived by three great grandchildren, TJ, Jami, Hannah and two loving nieces.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00, Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Cleveland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-6:30, Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory.
