Cindy Johnson Kloosterman, 65, of Shelby, NC passed away on July 19, 2023 at her home in Shelby, NC.

She was born to the late Ennis Hartwell Johnson and Gaynell West Johnson.

Cindy graduated from Shelby High School in 1976, then furthered her education at Gaston College to become a Registered Nurse by profession. She served the Kings Mountain and Shelby community for many years. She enjoyed volunteering with the Red Cross BloodMobile Program.

Cindy is survived by her brother Mark Johnson (Stephanie) and her three children: Scott Kloosterman(Susan), Jennifer Wilson and Amy Shull (Greg). She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Zackery Kloosterman, Hunter Stroup (Shelby), Jordyn Stroup, Reagan Shull and one great granddaughter: MaryBeth Stroup.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, July 24, 2023 in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Stroup offering words of encouragement for those in attendance. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
