Clara McSwain Earle, 99, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on December 13, 2018 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby, NC. She was born in Cleveland County, NC, to the late Grover Cleveland McSwain and Lunie Wylie McSwain and was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Darvin F. Earle. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Walter Cleve McSwain and sisters, Mary McSwain Cameron, Ella McSwain and Minnie McSwain, her stepson, Clarence Earle and a stepdaughter, Carolyn Bolin. Clara was a longtime member of David Baptist Church. Before her failing health, Clara enjoyed staying active at church and loved traveling and camping with her church family. She enjoyed participating in the Senior Games and competed in horseshoes, putt-putt and badminton. Clara also enjoyed gardening and always lived her life to the fullest. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Grandchildren: Trudy Bridges (Kevin), Linda Thornburg (Phillip), Joe Earle (Tammey), Danny Bolin (Heather), Ann White (Gary) and Leslie Stokes (Ricky)

9 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great-Great Grandchildren

FUNERAL SERVICE: Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Taule officiating.

VISITATION: Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, NC.

INTERMENT: Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
