Born August 24, 1938 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Wesley Moore and Mary Louise Pruitt Moore. He was a member of Old Rugged Cross Baptist Church in Shelby and also served in the Army. He was a self employed farmer and pulp wood cutter. He loved dirt track racing and drove his car, NC 11 and won many races.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Daisy Bolick, and one brother, Bob Moore.

Survivors include his wife, Selma Marie Chapman Moore, two sons and daughter-in-law, Donald Wayne Moore and financee Mary Towery of Lawndale, and Claude Dale & Sue Moore of Smyrna, SC, and children, Kenneth Wilson, Tina Farris, Cindy Wilson, and Johnny Wilson, and their twelve grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, son-in-law, Ned Bolick of Lawndale,two brothers, Charles Moore of Murphy, and J.C. Moore of Lattimore, two sisters, Lettie Ruth Nalley of Lawndale, and Cathy Moore of Arizona, four grandchildren, Teddy Bolick, Scott Bolick & wife, Shelle, Jessica Hudson & husband, Dale, and Danielle Moore, and two great grandchildren, C.J. Phillips Bolick & financee, Kacey and Zach Hudson, and numerous nieces & nephews. A special thanks to his caregivers, Junior and Mary Williams.

Visitation will be at Stamey Funeral Home in Fallston Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00PM.

The funeral service will be at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Sunday at 2:00PM with the Revs. Jerry Allen and Marie Irvin officiating. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
