Cleveland Community College Small Business Center offers Tax Seminar

The Small Business Center at Cleveland Community College has scheduled a FREE seminar "Business Essentials," presented by the NC Department of Revenue. If you are currently a business owner or plan to start a new business, please mark your calendars for Thursday, November 14, 2019, at the LeGrand Center, 6:30-8:30P.M. "We want to make this information about state tax responsibilities available to all Cleveland County entrepreneurs and business owners," said Steve Padgett, Director.
The seminar will cover basic requirements to help North Carolina businesses understand the laws and obligations necessary to be a compliant business. Participants will become familiar with NC tax laws that are pertinent to businesses and the responsibilities of a business owner. The seminar will also cover the basics of tax compliance ranging from registering your business, to withholding from employees, and sales and use tax requirements. At the end of the seminar, there will be a question and answer session with the presenter and networking possibilities with other business owners.
Registration is necessary for this seminar and is available on the Cleveland Community College website at www.clevelandcc.edu or you may register in person at the Small Business Center office in the LeGrand Center. If you would like more information, you may contact Steve Padgett at 704-669-4146 or email padgetts@clevelandcc.edu.
