Cleveland County 4-H "Back To School Family Fun Night!"

On Thursday, September 3rd, the Cleveland County 4-H Club held a "Back To School Family Fun Night" at the Cleveland County Extension Office auditorium in Shelby. Over 130 members came together to celebrate. Special games, a photo booth, and door prizes were part of the evening. The Four Leaf Clover mascot and the GWU Bulldog mascot made personal appearances and cheered on the members participating in the games. The 4-H Club includes boys and girls ages 4 to 19 and is dedicated to promoting community service, healthy living, leadership and life skills. In addition, members participated in making support bags to be given to cancer patients in Cleveland County. Pictured above are some of the 4-Hers with smiles and makeup from face paintings. There was also a lot of pizza and snacks to go along with the special event. For those interested in joining, you can call the local NC Cooperative Extension office at (704) 482-4365 or stop by 130 South Post Rd., Suite1 in Shelby, or visit www.cleveland.ces.ncsu.edu.
