Cleveland County Chamber Annual Awards

At the Annual Awards Banquet, held at the Don Gibson Theatre last Thursday, the Cleveland County Chamber of Commerce presented eighteen awards. Including two new awards: the Travel Industry Award went to the Shelby City Park and the Industry of the Year Award presented to Baldor/Reliance Electric. Other recipients were: The Paul Limerick Volunteer of the Year to Micki Padgett of Gateway Properties; Duke Energy Citizenship & Service Award to JT Scruggs; Bridge Builder of the Year to John O. Harris III; Athena Award to Dottie Leatherwood, Cleveland County Heathcare System; The Jean Bettis Support Staff Award to Vickie Melton, First National Bank; The Zenith Award to Barbara Minder, Higher Learning Childcare Academy; Carson L. Fox Entrepreneur of the Year Award to Cleveland Physical Therapy Associates, Don Miller, owner. The Emerging 10 Small Business of the Years Award Winners were Berry Business Machines, Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, Dilling Heating Company, Carolina Chiropractic Plus, Baker Buffalo Creek Vineyard & Winery, Cleveland Physical Therapy Associates, Higher Learning Childcare Academy, Nelon-Cole Termite & Pest Control, Turner Trucking Company, and Playground Equipment Safety Services, Inc.
