Clifford Isiah Tesner

Clifford Isiah Tesner, 92, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at his home.  Born in Cleveland County on April 29, 1920 he was the son of the late William Pinkney and Lucy Stewart Tesner.  He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Esther Tesner, Mary Tesner Glover, and Essie Mae Clark Hilland; three brothers, Filo Tessneer, Summie Tessneer, and Tess Tesner.  He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was a taxi cab driver.  He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army.

 

Mr. Tesner is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Tesner; ex-wife, Sue Tesner Rhinehart; three sons, Clifford Charles Tesner and wife Brenda of Shelby, Mark John Tesner and wife Donna of Polkville, William Henry Tesner of Shelby; one daughter, Geraldine White and husband Bill of Shelby; three step-children, Melody McKee Ayers and husband Bryan of Grover, Joey McKee of Shelby, Scott McKee an wife Debra of Shelby; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one niece, Carolyn Smith of Shelby; one nephew, Richard Glover and wife Golda of Shelby; one grandniece, Cindy Rudd and husband Dino of Shelby.

 

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, March 27, 2017 at Temple Baptist Church.  The Rev. Tommy Price and Dr. Barry Goodman will be officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00pm prior to the service at the church.  At other times the family will be at the home.
