Clifta McSwain Davis, 68 of 3403 W. Stagecoach Trail, Shelby passed away,
Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Carolinas Healthcare System-Cleveland.

Born February 8, 1950 in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late
Grover Clifford McSwain and Lucille McSwain. Clifta was retired from
Cleveland County Schools as a data manager and was a member of Big Springs
Baptist Church.

She was known for her creative talents in baking and decorating. Her
talents were recognized by winning the Grand Prize at the annual gingerbread
competition at The Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC. Her skills were
nationally recognized on Food Network.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Ronald Steve
Davis.

Survivors include her daughter, LeAnn Holland and husband, Kenny of Shelby;
a grandson, Lee Holland and fiancée, Emily Wingo of Asheville and two
special friends, Linda McCraw and Ann Weaver.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral
Home. At other times the family will be at the home, 3403 W. Stagecoach
Trail, Shelby.

A memorial service will be 3:00 PM, Sunday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Paul Scott officiating.

Big Springs Church Road, Ellenboro, NC 28040.
