Clora Virginia Baxter Camp “Cloe”
 Mrs. Clora Virginia Baxter Camp “Cloe”, 70, of 115 Thompson Drive, Kings Mountain, NC departed this earthly life for her eternal home on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Crawley Memorial Hospital in Boiling Springs, NC.  She was born on October 23, 1941 in Cleveland County to the late Roosevelt and Irene Bratton Baxter.

Clora was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where before her health declined she was very active serving over the years as a deaconess, choir member, missionary president and pastor’s aide.  She was formerly employed with Doran Textiles.  Her favorite pastimes included spending time with her grandchildren and family and cooking.  In addition, she will be remembered as a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly Brown; four brothers, Eddie, Ralph, Robert and James Baxter; a sister, Dorothy Camp and two sisters-in-law, Frances Wright and Alma Jean Camp.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 41years, Bobby Gene Camp; four sons, Larry Baxter of Waco, NC, Richard Baxter of the home,  and Leroy Montgomery (Bertha) and Larry Montgomery (Sonya) both of Cherryville, NC; three daughters, Gloria Wilson (Rev. Joe) of Waco and Cassandra Davis (Wayne) and Linda Miller (Derrick) both of Shelby; two sisters, Betty Jo Robbs and Shirley Brown (Floyd) both of Kings Mountain, NC; one granddaughter who she helped rear in the home, Ashley Wilson of Shelby; fourteen additional grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Henry Camp (Jennie) of Shelby and Howard Camp of Cherryville; six sisters-in-law, Frances Baxter of N.J., Lucille Sweezy of Cherryville, Dorothy Watkins of Waco, Elois Brown (Jimmy) of High Point, NC and Mary Lee Walker (Billy) and Betty Ann Kitt both of Thomasville, NC; one uncle, Roy Bratton (Fannie) of Brooklyn, NY; two aunts, Naomi Ratchford of Philadelphia, PA and Annette Dawkins of Charlotte, NC; two special nieces, Barbara Spikes and Sylvia Chambers both of Waco; special nephews, Robert Baxter (Avis) of Kings Mountain, NC and Jeffrey Baxter (Nicole) of Lawndale, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Waco with Rev. Les Howard officiating.  Burial will take place at the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M and at other times at the home.
