Clyde David Weaver

Mr. Clyde David Weaver, 70, of 217 Mt. Sinai Church Road, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016, at Wendover Hospice House. He was born on September 3, 1946.
A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Herman Horace and Ruby Aileen Weaver. He was a retired mechanic and master welder and enjoyed farming, racing, and gardening. His passion was his honey bees and fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. He enjoyed being the Captain of "The Family Tradition" and starting bee hives and then harvesting the honey each season. Clyde was also a great innovator and a mentor to many. He also built and maintained many race winning race cars.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Weaver Edmondson. He is survived by his son, Robbie Weaver and wife Tracy, one grandson, Hunter Weaver, and one brother, Horace Franklin Weaver and wife Judy of Shelby; three sisters, Hazel W. Thrift-Morrow and husband David, Mary Coker and husband Barry of Shelby, and Frances W. Edmondson and husband Bruce of Grover; two special aunts, Gladys McSwain and Betty Trammel of Shelby; special friends, Mike "Tuck" Tucker, Rocky Shelton, Mike "Big Bird" Brittain, and Poncho.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 12, 2016 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tim Trexler and Pastor Mike Tucker. A visitation will be held from 12:30 - 2:00 pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
